About Lifeguard Positions

We are seeking motivated and organized individuals to join our team as pool lifeguards. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on safety and be able to provide excellent customer service to all members and guests.

The role of the lifeguard is to ensure a safe swimming environment for all centre visitors. This involves actively supervising the pool area, maintaining observation of pools and patrons, and carrying out intervention and preventative action to ensure the safety and wellbeing of patrons, the facility and equipment.

  • Responsibilities include:
  • Supervising a large aquatic space while ensuring a safe environment in and around the pool area
  • Maintaining concentrated observation of pools and patrons to anticipate and respond to problems
  • Ensuring facility rules are being obeyed whilst educating facility users about safe aquatic practices

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a range of skills including patience, focus, and friendliness. You will also need to be able to multitask and manage conflicts with patrons and users.

The following qualifications are essential for this role:

  • Aquatic Pool Lifeguard Certificate- funding may be available
  • HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
  • HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
