With us, you will work with fun colleagues who have a shared passion for making a difference in the lives of individuals and transforming communities for the better. **About the Centre** The Boroondara Sports Complex is an important community asset that attracts a significant number of visitations and community engagements each year and is part of a network of aquatics and recreation centres within the City of Boroondara, which includes Hawthorn Aquatics and Leisure Centre, Ashburton Pool and Recreation Centre and Kew Recreation Centre. **Key responsibilities include;** - Drive a safety culture of "You see it, you own it" through the BSC Leadership Team and staff teams - Ensure accountability of all staff regarding incident, feedback and first aid monitoring - Lead the Lifeguard Team to industry leading standards reflected within monthly LSV mystery guest visits and internal observations - Ensure compliance with all aspects of health ands safety including legislative requirements and industry standards, through implementation of strong proactive and responsive systems - Direction and leadership of maintaining the overall facility presentation including but not limited to cleanliness, safety, facility maintenance and presentation, and pool operations This is a full time position with an annual salary of $64,299 + Super. **About You** You are ready to have an impact on the centre, have a desire for developing yourself and others in a fast-paced environment. You will be: - Passionate about and experienced in leading and coaching teams - Approachable and personable - Realistic and considered with decision making - Experienced in Facility Operations - Experienced Sport and Recreation **Mandatory Pre-Requisite Qualifications** - SISSS00111 - Pool Lifeguard - HLTAID003 or HTLAID011 - Provide First Aid - HLTAID001 or HTLAID009 - Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation - Working with Children Check **Desired Qualifications** - SISSS00110 - Aquatic Technical Operator Skill Set **Benefits** At the YMCA, we value our people.
