Our approach includes a range of services such as Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Pathology, Positive Behaviour Supports, Early Childhood Supports, and Habit Coaching. Our collaborative team is committed to fostering inclusion for all Australians.
Role OverviewAs a Habit Coach, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting NDIS participants in various locations.
- Conducting sessions at participants' residences or community venues, requiring travel.
- Supporting individuals across diverse age groups and life stages.
- Collaborating with primary therapists to help participants achieve greater independence and reach their personal goals.
Your role will involve executing therapy plans designed by primary therapists. The specifics of each session will depend on the participant's unique objectives. Examples of goals you may assist with include:
- Fostering Independence: Helping a teenager navigate public transport for school commutes.
- Encouraging Healthy Routines: Aiding an adult in grocery shopping and meal prep to promote nutritious eating habits.
- Facilitating Social Interaction: Supporting a young child in completing their after-school activities while engaging in social play.
To excel as a Habit Coach, you should:
- Be pursuing a degree in Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, or Physiotherapy (minimum 2nd year) OR possess a Certificate 3 or 4 in Allied Health Assistance or a related qualification, along with relevant experience.
- Availability to work consistently, with hours from Monday to Friday, 7am - 7pm.
- Commitment to at least two days a week for afternoon sessions (3:30pm – 6:30pm).
- Willingness to travel to surrounding areas.
- Ability to follow directions accurately.
- Exhibit emotional intelligence and empathy.
- Maintain focus on participant goals and outcomes.
- Demonstrate professionalism and adherence to company protocols.
- Be self-driven, dependable, and capable of working independently.
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Show a genuine passion for making a difference in the disability sector.
- Hold a valid Australian driver's license and have access to a vehicle.
- Complete NDIS Workers Screening Check and Working with Children Check.
- Ongoing Learning: Support and guidance from experienced Allied Health professionals.
