Job Title: Lifestyle Coordinator

At Mercy Health, we're seeking a skilled and compassionate Lifestyle Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our aged care community, you'll play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our elderly residents. As a Lifestyle Coordinator, you'll be responsible for developing, planning, and delivering a diverse range of lifestyle programs that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with residents, families, and staff to create personalized programs that cater to individual preferences.
  • Develop and implement engaging activities that promote social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and physical activity.
  • Work closely with healthcare professionals to integrate lifestyle activities with residents' care plans.
  • Oversee the scheduling and organization of events, ensuring all activities are well-structured and properly resourced.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive community atmosphere, encouraging active participation from residents.
  • Maintain detailed records of activities, attendance, and feedback, and provide regular reports to management.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Certificate IV in Leisure and Health (or equivalent).
  • Current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
  • Level II First Aid Certificate.
  • A minimum of 12 months of experience in a similar role within the aged care sector, with a strong understanding of older adults' needs and preferences.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A creative and proactive approach to developing engaging and meaningful activities.
  • Genuine empathy, patience, and commitment to enhancing the lives of elderly residents.
