
Expert Genomics Support Specialist

This role involves working independently and collaboratively with a team to provide effective support in the field of genomics.
Key Responsibilities:- Molecular pathology, including specimen reception, nucleic acid extraction, data entry, and proper handling of biological specimens.
- Collaborating as a team member under senior practitioners to produce high-quality work outputs.
- Strong interpersonal skills, client focus, and effective communication.
- Ensuring compliance with organisational policies and procedures, legislative standards, and relevant accreditation requirements.
- Nil mandatory qualifications.
- Relevant qualification is well-regarded but not mandatory.
- Visa conditions disclosure for non-permanent residents of Australia.
- Reasonable adjustments advice for applicants with special needs or requirements.
- Employee vaccination against COVID-19 (Health Employment Directive No. 12/21 and Queensland Health Human Resources Policy B70).
- Employee vaccination against one or more VPDs during employment (Hepatitis A & B, Measles, Mumps, Pertussis, Rubella, and Varicella).
- Additional vaccinations may be required for this position.
