Strategic Director of Student Wellbeing

Beaumont People is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Director of Student Wellbeing to lead the mental health and wellbeing services across a prestigious school system. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership for mental health and wellbeing practitioners, ensuring that students receive adequate support and that mental health practitioners adhere to professional standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead a student wellbeing framework that aligns with the school system's strategic plans.
  • Ensure that school services are well-resourced and aligned with requirements and professional standards.
  • Manage a team to provide cohesive and collaborative support for students.
  • Collaborate with principals and teachers to ensure they have access to the appropriate support to effectively manage risks.

About the Role

  • Ability to lead a diverse team in a large school or system.
  • Collaborate across teams to drive innovation and improvement.
  • Experience as a mental health practitioner specialising in children and young people's mental health.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Education, Psychology or Social Work and experience in an educational context.
  • OPTIONAL: Board Registered membership with an appropriate professional association.
  • Valid Working with Children Check.
