Job Description:



The successful candidate will lead student wellbeing initiatives and implement procedures to identify and support students with diverse wellbeing and learning needs within a partially selective girls' high school context. A dynamic leader with strong leadership skills to develop and maintain a culture of advocacy and belonging both within the school and across the wider community is required.



The ideal candidate will work closely with external agencies, staff, parents/carers, and the wider community to support and case manage students with diverse wellbeing needs, including crisis situations. Collaborative work as a member of the executive team and whole school staff is expected to identify and lead initiatives addressing school strategic directions.



Required Skills and Qualifications:



Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning, and classroom practice is essential. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment, and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs is necessary. Educational leadership skills to build capacity and manage performance of individuals and teams are also required.



Able to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning, with knowledge of and commitment to Department's Aboriginal education policies. An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement, and if not held, commencing this process at the same time as applying for this opportunity is necessary.



Benefits:



This role attracts a salary of $145,499.00, consisting of a base salary of $130,094.00, leave loading, and employer's contribution to superannuation. The position is located in Sydney Region, offering a great work-life balance opportunity.
