Job Description

As a Student Wellbeing Leader at the Department of Education & Training, Victoria, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic success, psychological health, and social and emotional wellbeing of students.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality advice and support to students and staff to foster a positive and inclusive school environment.
Develop and implement effective case management plans to address the identified needs of vulnerable students and their families.
Collaborate with the Student Wellbeing Team to design and deliver whole-school wellbeing initiatives that promote student resilience and engagement.
Provide professional learning and development opportunities for staff to enhance their understanding of student wellbeing and engagement.

Requirements

A strong understanding of child and adolescent health and development, as well as relevant policy context and evidence-based approaches.
Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and external agencies.
A demonstrated capacity to develop and lead programs that meet the identified needs of vulnerable students and their families.
A commitment to ongoing professional learning and development to enhance student wellbeing and engagement.
