Regional Trauma Service Lead
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a high-acuity Emergency Department, lead a dedicated multidisciplinary team and contribute to the ongoing development of a regional trauma service.
- Provide high-quality specialist emergency medical care in a busy regional ED.
- Deliver clinical leadership during shifts to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Supervise and mentor Registrars, Junior Medical Officers and medical students.
- Collaborate with other specialists and support out-of-hours coverage.
- Contribute to strategic planning, service development and quality improvement at GV Health.
Emergency Department Facilities
- Designated regional trauma service with a diverse and high-acuity case mix.
- 3 state-of-the-art resuscitation bays.
- 2 negative pressure isolation cubicles.
- 13 acute care cubicles.
- Dedicated Fast Track area with 7 cubicles and consult room.
- 9-bed Short Stay Unit (including isolation room).
- Onsite CT, ultrasound and X-ray facilities.
- Behavioural Assessment Room, mental health consult rooms and forensic suite.
- Fellowship of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine.
- Current Specialist Registration with AHPRA.
- Demonstrated leadership, teaching and supervision experience.
- Commitment to delivering best practice, patient-centred emergency care.
