At Toll Transport Pty Ltd, we drive growth and innovation in the logistics industry. We seek a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team in Sydney / Melbourne.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced professional to lead business expansion strategies, foster customer partnerships, and drive organic growth across our Specialty Retail, FMCG & Auto and Transport verticals.

  • You will develop and execute strategies aligned with growth plans, encouraging new thinking and long-term customer relationships.
  • Your expertise will improve market understanding through competitive benchmarking and consumer behavior analysis, leading and communicating diverse service offerings to drive growth.
  • You will support and optimize the Toll Sales 2 Delivery process for transparency and opportunity investment.
  • You will enhance customer support and delivery capabilities across borders.
  • You will generate leads and identify strategic sales opportunities through networking, developing and managing high-value relationships and strategic partnerships.
  • You will lead contract negotiations and liaise with stakeholders.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant university degree or equivalent (essential)
  • Proven experience in business development (approximately 5+ years); demonstrated experience working in a logistics environment or related industry; proven experience in managing large accounts in a contracting business maintaining strong customer relationships; developed network of contacts and customers nationally.
  • Previous experience in a commercial or finance role (essential)
  • Comparable industry experience (desired)
Estimated Salary Range

$80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
