Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Logistics Innovation Specialist to join our team and contribute to addressing core challenges within the logistics industry.

This role involves working closely with customers to understand their issues, identifying root causes, and collaborating with software engineers to provide effective solutions. As a Logistics Innovation Specialist, you will bridge the gap between business and technology, ensuring that we truly understand customer needs.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and devise solutions for complex CFS warehouse issues: Analyze problems and develop innovative solutions to improve operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Provide high-quality customer service through 2nd line incident management and support: Deliver exceptional support to customers, addressing their concerns and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Draft business requirements for new features and functionalities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify customer needs and develop business cases for new features and enhancements.
  • Assess existing functionalities, recommending areas for improvement: Evaluate current software capabilities and suggest improvements to enhance user experience and drive business outcomes.
  • Document supporting content and release notes: Develop clear, concise documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure smooth onboarding of new features.
  • Analyse and document processes: Identify inefficiencies and optimize processes to improve overall system performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and evaluate inefficiencies, suggesting optimal business practices and system functionality/behaviour: Conduct thorough assessments to pinpoint areas for improvement and propose data-driven solutions.
  • Troubleshoot problems in a timely manner and solve for root cause: Employ analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex issues efficiently.
  • Conduct product development reviews (UAT/QA) for software fixes and new features: Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure seamless integration of new features and bug fixes.
  • Collaborate with customers and development throughout the lifecycle of new features: Foster strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful delivery of projects.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you will possess extensive experience in container freight station related logistics/supply chain areas, as well as proficiency in using CargoWise or similar software. Your expertise should include customs control processes, international freight forwarding, and landside transport movements. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, along with demonstrated self-driven learning and self-development. Background in software development and integration is advantageous but not required.
