Executive Event Manager

A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced Venue Manager to oversee a renowned establishment in South Australia. Located in the picturesque setting of Adelaide, this iconic venue offers an amazing long lunches and large scale events.
About the Opportunity:
Work at a beautiful, 20-year-old operating venue seeking a Venue Manager able to deliver exceptional guest experiences in various settings from fine dining to casual dining to Functions & Events. As an integral part of the team, you will have the opportunity to shape the future culture in alignment with our core values of honesty, integrity, and common goal orientation.
Closely collaborating with senior management, you will oversee teams by thoroughly understanding operational needs, including service delivery, staff management, and financial requirements, all while maintaining an active, hands-on role within the venues.
Suitable candidates will possess:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Venue Manager in a similar environment with excellent wine knowledge
- Demonstrated expertise in Fine Dining and high-volume banquets & events
- Proven ability to manage COGS and lead a diverse FOH team
- Experience in remote/regional locations and adept at managing staffing challenges
- Solid people management, time management, and rostering skills
Background:
- Venue Management experience within a contemporary hospitality group or 5-star hotel, across multiple venues
- Experience managing large teams with a track record in creating a culture of excellence, driving positive cultural initiatives, leading from the front with humility and hands-on leadership
