Job Description

We seek an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team in Bunbury, supporting NDIS participants to achieve their objectives and live more independently.

You will provide therapeutic supports to participants living in the Bunbury region, collaborating to develop and implement positive behaviour support plans that make a meaningful difference.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting NDIS participants and their families to identify needs through assessment and person-centred planning.
  • Evaluating, developing and delivering evidence-based support plans within complex support spaces.
  • Developing meaningful goals and strategies as per the positive behaviour support framework, eliminating restrictive practices in the home and community.
  • Ensuring individual plans reflect participants' goals, passions and strengths.
  • Building knowledge, capacity and strengths of those who support participants in their lives.
  • Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including mentoring less experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners.

Qualifications
  • Current suitability at Core, Proficient or Advanced level as a Behaviour Support Practitioner.
  • Considerable experience providing support to people with behaviours of concern is essential.
  • Completed degree-level qualification as an allied health professional is desired.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage a varied caseload.
  • Proactive attitude, motivated by improvement and learning from new ideas.
  • Genuine passion for working in the disability sector.
