Samaritans, the social justice arm of Newcastle Anglican, is seeking an experienced executive leader to drive strategic direction and innovation across its diverse portfolio of services. The successful candidate will oversee a geographically dispersed team, driving exceptional service delivery and outcomes for clients.

About the Role
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to drive operational and performance excellence.
  • Develop and foster robust strategic partnerships across the sector to ensure a dynamic and innovative response to community needs.
  • Secure grants and funding to support the implementation and delivery of services.
  • Engage with the Board of the Newcastle Anglican Corporation in relation to the execution of the Community Wellbeing strategic plan.
About You

We are seeking an established executive leader with a demonstrated history of leading teams and driving exceptional service delivery and outcomes for clients. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualification
  • 5+ years of experience at a senior level across child, youth, family, and community services sector
  • Demonstrated commercial and strategic acumen
  • Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of the child, youth, family, and community services including funding and policy protocols, accreditation, and industrial legislation
  • Demonstrated experience using effective governance frameworks to ensure ethical use of financial resources and professional standards of planning and budgeting
  • A proven track record in successfully leading change, innovation, and collaboration
