The incumbent will provide strategic support to implement company-wide initiatives, collaborate with operations teams to embed effective communication and consultation processes, and conduct thorough investigations into significant incidents.
Key responsibilities include:
- Strategically supporting the implementation of company-wide initiatives.
- Collaborating with operations teams to embed effective communication and consultation processes.
- Conducting thorough investigations into significant incidents.
- Facilitating risk assessments, workshops, and problem-solving sessions.
- Developing and supporting strategic HSE action plans for continuous improvement towards best practice.
- Supporting reporting requirements and ensuring timely follow-up and corrective actions.
- Providing limited safety training sessions with support materials provided.
- Assisting in incident and hazard reporting, and supporting investigation processes.
- Maintaining safety documentation, including Safe Operating Procedures and compliance records.
- Ensuring site compliance with environmental policies and legislative requirements.
- Collaborating with regulatory bodies to maintain compliance and address site-specific needs.
- Supporting contractor management processes, including permits and site access requirements.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum Cert. IV or Diploma in Workplace Health and Safety, proven experience in safety roles within food, pharmaceutical, dairy, or beverage industry, FMCG experience highly desired, strong knowledge of WHS legislation, risk assessments, and safety practices for plant and equipment, excellent interpersonal skills, and intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office and safety management systems.
