Senior Health and Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly experienced HSE professional to lead our safety initiatives on a major commercial construction project.

About the Role

  • Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety plans, procedures, and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all stakeholders.
  • Mentor and train staff, subcontractors, and site teams on best practice safety techniques to promote a culture of safety excellence.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and toolbox talks to identify and mitigate potential hazards, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Lead incident investigations and participate in internal and external audits to drive continuous improvement in safety performance.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar HSE role within commercial construction, with a strong understanding of safety regulations and legislation.
  • Certificate IV in WHS/OHS or equivalent qualification.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
