Operational Excellence Specialist

About the Role:
The Operational Excellence Specialist is responsible for delivering exceptional service levels, managing customer relations, and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements. This role will contribute to strategic planning, establish processes for implementation, and drive site safety initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure day-to-day operations meet or exceed 99% on-time delivery targets.
- Serve as the first point of contact/escalation for operational shift issues.
- Implement and enforce OHS and site safety protocols, counseling/disciplining staff as needed.
- Verify pre-operational checklists are completed for all loads, addressing nonconformances promptly.
- Report and follow up on damages and MVIs according to SOPs, counseling/disciplining staff as necessary.
- Optimize allocation and dispatch operations to achieve highest service levels while minimizing costs.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of transport processes and expectations.
- Knowledge of Supply Chain Management principles.
- Comprehension of relevant Federal and State laws, including NHVR regulations.
- Customer-centric approach (internal and external).
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Driver's License (HR – Heavy Vehicle) and Forklift license (Counterbalance).
