Job Title: Asset Portfolio Manager

The primary objective of the Asset Portfolio Manager is to oversee the operational efficiency and performance optimization of a large-scale solar portfolio in Australia. This entails ensuring adherence to best practices for safety, quality, and environmental sustainability, while maximizing returns on each project and upholding contractual obligations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop policies and procedures that ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and contracts.
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of up to 5 sites with a combined capacity of approximately 1000MW, all located within Australia.
  • Analyze system efficiencies to identify opportunities for improved performance and maximize total returns for each asset.
  • Foster strong working relationships with EPC and O&M contractors to optimize safe asset performance and operation.
  • Develop effective communication and collaboration practices with client-owners to ensure seamless project execution.
Key Requirements:
  • Thorough knowledge of the Australian and global renewable energy market, particularly large-scale solar PV and battery storage.
  • Understanding of key contracts and awareness of critical stakeholders involved in managing solar or battery assets.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the solar (and BESS preferably) asset lifecycle.
  • Techincal knowledge of large-scale solar and battery assets, although not essential.
Experience:
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within the solar industry.
  • The ideal candidate may have worked with financial investors active in the renewable sector internationally or IPP/vertically integrated developers.

  • Problem-solving and proactive attitude.
  • Detailed oriented and well-organized.
Education and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field applicable to the renewable industry.
