The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Venue Manager to lead our aquatic operations and services at our leisure centre in North Moreton. As a suitably qualified leader, you will oversee and develop the facility's operations, financial performance, and program deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coach and develop leaders to deliver on key performance indicators through engagement, performance planning, and individual development plans.
  • Lead and drive a high-performance community-minded culture through highly visible and hands-on leadership and team engagement.
  • Maintain a high-value relationship with local stakeholders.
  • Implement a high-value customer service proposition that addresses the needs of clients.
  • Recruit energetic, diverse, and passionate employees to complement the team and the vision for the centre.
  • Train staff as required to ensure that knowledge and capability are at the required levels to enable staff to carry out their work and achieve their objectives.
  • Identify staff and develop career progression paths that lead to transparent and effective succession decisions when required.
  • Maintain facilities to approved standards in line with contract requirements.

About You

You have experience in planning and execution of operational, financial, and people plans to achieve successful outcomes. You possess strong communication skills, able to build rapport and positive relationships with people. With a flair and ability to positively influence and negotiate win-win outcomes, you lead by example.

You have a sound knowledge of health and safety legislation. You possess values such as integrity, excellence, courage, openness, respect, leadership, and accountability. It's desirable to have experience in aquatic operations and a good understanding of asset management.

Essential Requirements

  • Blue Card (Working with Children Check & Police Check)
  • Current First Aid Certificate (Level 2)
  • Current CPR
  • Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate
  • Poll Operators Certificate

If you do not currently hold the pool LG and Operators certificates, our Belgravia RTO will be happy to assist the successful applicant with obtaining these qualifications.

  • Tertiary qualifications in a related field and/or experience (2 plus years) in venue management
