About SLR and the Role
SLR Consulting Australia Pty Ltd (SLR) is a globally recognized environmental consultancy that provides high-quality services to a diverse range of clients. We are seeking an experienced Associate Aquatic Ecologist to join our Aquatic Environmental Services team in Queensland.
About You
You will have a strong background in aquatic ecology and experience in assessment and management of ecological matters. You will be able to develop a client base and professional network relevant to your role. You will enjoy collaborating on projects and initiatives with our national team and other teams within our multi-disciplinary business.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement aquatic environmental services projects, including proposal preparation, project and budget management, fieldwork, data analysis, and report writing.
- Contribute technical leadership skills in aquatic environmental services and be recognized for your specialist knowledge.
- Lead and contribute to projects across freshwater and marine environments, achieving timely and high-quality outcomes.
- Prepare aquatic impact assessments and have knowledge of appropriate legislation.
- Undertake aquatic/water quality fieldwork in remote areas and co-manage the maintenance, repair, and storage of field gear.
