Job Description:

As a Membership Clerk at Costco Wholesale, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless membership experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome and engage with members, addressing their queries, resolving issues, and providing information on membership, warehouse, and credit programs.
  • Process new memberships, handle membership maintenance, and collect dues as necessary.
  • Issue membership cards, temporary cards, and employee name badges, while maintaining accurate records and adhering to departmental procedures.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge about membership, warehouse, and credit programs, and ensure compliance with safety and security protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve business objectives, prioritizing tasks, multitasking, and adapting to changing circumstances.
Requirements:
  • A high school certificate or higher is required; Responsible Service of Alcohol certification is preferred but not essential.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Demonstrate a professional demeanor, empathy, and a willingness to assist others in a prompt and effective manner.
  • Be adaptable, flexible, and able to work efficiently within a fast-paced environment.
Benefits:
  • This role offers an estimated salary range of $45,000 - $55,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
  • The position requires working varying shifts, including weekends, and may involve standing for extended periods and lifting moderate weights.
