Legal Technology Specialist

The Opportunity:
We are seeking a senior technology lawyer to join our Sydney office and take on a challenging greenfield project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice and support to various business units, including procurement, sales, and partnerships.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, such as SaaS contracts, partnership deals, vendor agreements, employment contracts, confidentiality agreements, and platform integrations.
- Handle multiple deals while offering strong business and legal guidance to colleagues and teams internationally.
- Offer strategic guidance on emerging technology trends and their legal implications through a commercial lens.
Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum 10 years PAE with relevant experience from a technology/TMT team or an in-house counsel at a technology business.
- Deep understanding of technology law and experience drafting and negotiating SaaS contracts.
- Strong knowledge of Australian data privacy laws and regulations, including the Privacy Act.
- Ability to provide strategic and pragmatic legal advice, exercising sound commercial judgement.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
