The Melbourne Racing Club is a sports and events organization that runs elite horse racing at various locations.

We are seeking an experienced administrator to support our team. This role will involve assisting with workforce planning, resourcing, and administration across multiple racecourses.

This position requires flexibility, as it may involve working outside of office hours and on weekends/public holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support purchase order generation and reconciliation
  • Assist in kitchen compliance adherence, including certification tracking and training/Food Safety Plan completion
  • Manage the My Local Foodie system, ensuring compliance is always upheld
  • Onboard new suppliers into MLF
  • Track food inventory via the Food Tracker spreadsheet
  • Train and support chefs to enter menus into MLF
  • Conduct monthly stocktake process for the kitchen and ensure information is sent to Finance within the required timeframe
  • Design Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for ordering and stocktake processes
  • Provide support to the Executive Chef and financial tracking of kitchen purchases

Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while prioritizing multiple tasks
  • Excellent time-management skills
  • Previous experience within a kitchen administration environment
  • Knowledge of kitchen ordering systems
  • My Local Foodie experience (desirable)
