Job Title: Materials Research ExpertWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated researcher to join our team as a Materials Research Expert. The successful candidate will contribute to an exciting collaborative project between UNSW Canberra and ANU on 'Low-dimensional low-energy ferroelectricity for future technologies'. The role involves conducting research, enabling research teams to create scholarly output that is recognised by peers, undertaking specific research project/s under the guidance of a research leader and contributing to development of research activities.Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct high-quality academic research and conduct independent research with limited supervision.
  • Develop and implement research projects in collaboration with research leaders.
  • Support the dissemination of research outcomes through appropriate channels and outlets.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A PhD in chemistry, physics, materials science or a related discipline, and/or relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in density functional theory modelling of materials.
  • Proven commitment to proactively keeping up to date with discipline knowledge and developments.
