Join us as we embark on an exciting path to create an accessible and future-focused educational powerhouse that fosters economic and social wellbeing through ground-breaking research and innovative teaching. Our size, breadth and quality of education and research programs offer vast scope and opportunity for a long, fulfilling career.
This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with talented colleagues who are world leaders in their fields. As a successful candidate, you will have a PhD in Civil Engineering specialising in Structural Engineering. Your strong track record of research will enable you to undertake projects related to the application of advanced materials such as fibre-reinforced polymer (FRP) composites for repair and rehabilitation of existing infrastructure.
You will also have expertise in repair and rehabilitation of structures with advanced materials, construction-grade waste materials and experience in experimentation and modelling of structures or structural elements. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the writing of journal articles and grant applications, are essential. We offer attractive staff benefits, including salary packaging, flexible work arrangements, high-quality professional development programs and activities, and an on-campus health clinic and fitness facilities.
