We are seeking a highly motivated and self-motivated researcher to join our team in the field of structural engineering.
Job DescriptionThe ideal candidate will have a strong track record of research in structural engineering, with expertise in advanced materials such as fibre-reinforced polymer (FRP) composites for the repair and rehabilitation of existing infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct innovative research in structural engineering, focusing on the application of FRP composites and sustainable recycled materials;
- Develop and implement new research methods and techniques;
- Collaborate with other researchers and academics within the institution;
- Supervise and motivate students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels;
- Publish research findings in leading journals and present at international conferences.
- PhD in Civil Engineering specialising in Structural Engineering;
- Strong track record of research in structural engineering, including experience with FRP composites and sustainable recycled materials;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write academic articles and grant applications;
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.
