About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Youth Worker to join our team at Edmund Rice Education Australia. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the engagement, wellbeing, and social inclusion of our students.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

You will have experience working with disengaged youth and a deep understanding of key issues affecting contemporary youth culture. A Certificate IV qualification in a relevant field is desirable, but not essential. You must be willing to obtain this within the first 12 months of employment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and guide First Nations youth in various aspects of their lives
  • Foster a safe and inclusive environment that respects and celebrates cultural diversity
  • Promote the values and principles of our school to ensure inclusion, empowerment, and youth development
  • Develop and implement programs that cater to the unique needs of our students
