About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team at Yooralla. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with disabilities to live the lives they choose.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support clients with daily living and personal care needs, including assistance with meal preparation, personal hygiene, and mobility.
  • Work closely with clients to implement personalized plans that address their unique needs and goals.
  • Provide support with shopping, appointments, and events.
  • Assist with overnight care and other tasks as needed.
Requirements
  • A positive approach, initiative, and self-motivation.
  • Willingness to be committed to empowering clients to reach their goals and upholding quality and safeguards in your everyday work.
  • Effective communication skills and good English literacy to communicate well with clients.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team.
  • Willingness to support clients with personal care activities.
  • Experience in supporting clients with mental health is highly desirable.
  • Australian Driver Licence.
  • The right to work in Australia.
  • The ability to get a First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certificate if you don't already have one.
