Job Description">

A solicitor with post-qualification experience is sought to join our Financial & Professional Risks team. The successful candidate will have experience in professional indemnity, general litigation, coverage, or financial lines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle disputes involving engineers, architects, and building professionals.
  • Provide expert advice on claims against legal practitioners and issues related to environmental liabilities.
  • Advising on high-stakes indemnity disputes and policy interpretation matters.
  • Defend directors and officers in claims related to their corporate roles.
  • Address issues of fraud, employee dishonesty, and financial misconduct, while advising banks, investment firms, and other financial entities on liability and compliance matters.
  • Handle claims involving mismanagement, employment practices, fiduciary duties, and defend various professionals, including accountants and consultants, against negligence claims.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 1+ years' PQE with experience in professional indemnity, general litigation, coverage, or financial lines.
  • Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills.
  • A collaborative approach and a commitment to excellence.
  • Confidence to take ownership of matters and drive them forward.
