Business Analyst Job Description

Local Peoples is seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our team in the ACT. As an embedded team member, you will work closely with our Government clients on contract and ongoing projects.

About the Role:

This exciting opportunity allows you to contribute to a wide range of projects that aim to achieve strategic objectives, modernize business processes, and provide reliable information to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify business needs and ensure they are fully captured by planning, defining, and managing user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional and technical requirements.
  • Conduct business discovery and co-design workshops, interviews, and meetings with internal and external stakeholders/working groups.
  • Recommend effective business and ICT changes.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience working within Agile frameworks, particularly Scrum and SAFe.
  • Extensive experience and highly developed skills in performing analysis of systems and business processes, process mapping, user stories, use cases, data migration source-to-target mapping, specifications, and wireframes.
  • A strong eye for detail and excellent data presentation skills.
  • An ability to describe the business impacts of current and proposed solutions, including risks and benefits.
  • Analysis and reporting on the results of new solutions implemented in business and IT processes.
  • The ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with stakeholders, including the ability to act as the team's representative in meetings with business units.
  • Experience facilitating workshops, stakeholder interviews, presentations, product backlog management, and user acceptance testing.
