Water Resource Manager

The Murray-Darling Basin Authority manages the Murray-Darling Basin's water resources in the national interest. Our goal is to achieve a healthy working Basin for the benefit of all Australians.
Main ResponsibilitiesAs a River Operator, you will be part of managing the River Murray System to support partner governments, the environment, farming and other industries for the benefit of the Australian community. Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting Ongoing Management: Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure the effective management of the River Murray System.
- Real-Time Operations: Exercise judgement and assume responsibility for the daily operation of dams, weirs, and environmental regulators of the River Murray System.
- Competing Stakeholder Needs: Operate the system to meet the needs of irrigators, environmental water holders, and recreational users.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the River Operations program, Basin states, environmental water holders, and the general public.
