Job Title: Payroll Trainee
Description of the Job:
We are seeking a Payroll Trainee to join our team. The successful candidate will be part of a formal training program that will provide them with the skills and knowledge needed to deliver high quality payroll processing and support to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in a structured training program to gain foundational knowledge of the payroll industry and ADP products and services.
- Process allocated client payrolls ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Provide accurate and timely response for pay related queries via phone calls, ticket management and chat.
- Resolve client issues and/or escalate matters as required in a timely manner.
- Timely preparation of long service leave, terminations, retrospective payments and other payroll related payments and returns.
Requirements:
- Customer service experience is desirable but not essential.
- Exposure in a payroll environment is desirable but not essential.
- Basic understanding of current Australian payroll legislation is desirable but not essential.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to delivering service excellence.
- Demonstrated effective communication skills.
- Sound experience with MS Office skills – Outlook and Excel.
- Ability to manage time effectively with the ability to prioritise client needs.
Benefits:
- Tertiary qualifications or completing (Cert IV / Diploma/Degree within Business / Administration) is highly desirable.
- Relevant experience may be accepted and will be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
