
Agricultural Operations Director

We are seeking a Farm Manager to oversee the daily operations of our farming business. This is a long-term management position with full autonomy.
The successful applicant will be responsible for managing and developing the farm to achieve high quality wool, cattle, and crops production. They will have a thorough understanding of Merino breeding and management, as well as cattle management, feeding regimes, grazing techniques, and crop production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage livestock husbandry and crop and pasture management
- Plan, budget, and report on performance
- Lead and mentor a team in running daily operations
- C Coordinate contractors for outsourced activities
- Hold or obtain appropriate licences for vehicles and machinery
- Develop close industry relationships
Requirements:
- At least 5 years practical experience managing intensively grazed sheep and cattle
- Experience in efficient planning and reporting
- Proven track record of delivering efficient, cost-effective outcomes
- Strong communication and team management skills
- A commitment to innovation and staying abreast of industry trends
