Mixed Enterprise Agricultural Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled farm hand to join our small team in Tasmania's beautiful Midlands.
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing animal husbandry, including caring for 6,000 cross-bred ewes and their progeny. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills in cropping operations, producing over 300 ha of Wheat, Barley, and Canola annually.
Maintenance and repair of modern machinery is a critical aspect of this role, including Case and John Deere tractors, a 9-meter Morris tyned air seeder, Mack and Freightliner trucks, and trailers. You will work closely with other staff members to maintain farm infrastructure, including fencing and cropping elements during peak seasons.
This is a unique opportunity to utilize modern and progressive farming technologies while being part of a close-knit cohesive team that values training and development. The successful applicant will negotiate an hourly rate reflective of their existing skills and abilities, as well as enjoy a comfortable 3-bedroom home with modern fixtures.
The property is conveniently located approximately halfway between Hobart and Launceston, offering easy access to local amenities and services.
To succeed in this role, you should possess experience in a similar position, own quality dogs or be willing to obtain them, have general farming knowledge, and a willingness to learn and a passion for agriculture.
