Leadership Opportunity in Early Childhood Education

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate leader to join our Island Kindy team as an Educational Leader. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children on one of Australia's most iconic island destinations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead curriculum development and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Guide and support educators in planning and delivering high-quality early childhood programs.
  • Facilitate professional development opportunities for staff, promoting best practices in early childhood education.
  • Monitor and assess the quality of educational practices within the centre, ensuring compliance with licensing and accreditation.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Education to implement improvement plans based on evaluations and feedback.
  • Build positive relationships with families, encouraging their involvement in the educational process.
  • Communicate regularly with families about their children's progress and program initiatives.
  • Lead regular team meetings to discuss program planning and staff development, fostering collaboration that encourages sharing of ideas and practices.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education (Essential)
  • Current Blue Card (Essential)
  • HLTAID012 – Provide First Aid in an education and care setting (Essential)
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks in early childhood education
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in childcare settings
