Job Title: Risk Assessment Professional

This role is responsible for assisting the department in managing case loads in accordance with the Disability Services Act.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate assessment decisions to applicants and service providers in a clear and timely manner, mitigating client risk where possible.
  • Obtain oral submissions from applicants to inform risk assessment decisions.
  • Prepare high-quality reports, briefs, and other documents that meet departmental standards.
  • Maintain accurate records in electronic databases, adhering to departmental record-keeping, privacy, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Provide guidance and support to administrative officers on departmental policies, procedures, guidelines, and systems.
  • Contribute to a performance-driven culture that delivers results aligned with the department's vision, values, and objectives.
  • Research legislative and administrative issues to provide accurate and timely advice to management on potential risks or compliance matters.
  • Build and sustain positive relationships through effective communication with team members, clients, stakeholders, and private sector entities, anticipating and responding to client needs and expectations.
  • Contribute to the government's and department's priorities and reform agenda.
