Job Opportunity: Mechanical Design Specialist

About the Role:
  • Develop and refine multi-disciplinary engineering designs and feasibility studies.
  • Create innovative concepts to detailed technical analysis.
  • Contribute directly to the development of state-of-the-art composite technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead concept design and development of products/systems using CAD and CAE tools.
  • Apply FEA to assess product safety and integrity.
  • Manage and document designs, calculations, and product lifecycle data using PLM systems.
  • Assist in equipment procurement, materials selection, and cost estimation.
  • Ensure all designs meet safety, functional, and regulatory standards.
  • Produce detailed engineering drawings and oversee prototype development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for mechanical integration and project success.
  • Troubleshoot and enhance existing products, proposing innovative improvements.
  • Support testing and evaluation of new designs for performance and reliability.
Requirements:
  • Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years' mechanical design experience.
  • Proficient in CAD (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor) and FEA tools.
  • Strong understanding of materials science, thermodynamics, and mechanical systems.
  • Experience with composite materials, CFD, and workshop-based prototyping is highly desirable.
