Job Opportunity

The role of a Development Officer is an exciting opportunity to work with various stakeholders and make a significant impact on the region's growth and development.

This position involves conducting thorough research, providing expert advice, and exercising initiative in decision-making and problem-solving related to developments.

As a key member of the Planning and Assessment team, you will be responsible for processing, assessing, and negotiating development applications efficiently while maintaining professional relationships with internal and external clients.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Undertake assessment manager or concurrence agency functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of development applications.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, including recommendations, as well as briefs of evidence for presentation to relevant authorities.
  • Represent the organization on technical working parties, committees, and industry action teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

You will have a solid understanding of building, planning, and environment legislation, policies, and statutory procedures. Additionally, you should possess formal qualifications in building, building surveying, or urban planning.
