
Senior Financial Clerk

This position involves providing assistance to accountants in various aspects of financial management.
Key Responsibilities:- Accurate Data Entry: Enter data accurately into accounting software, spreadsheets, or books.
- Record Keeping: Organise and maintain records in a way that is easy to access.
- Financial Tracking: Track invoices, receipts, and other financial records.
- Reconciliation: Assist with daily bank reconciliation and other account reconciliations at regular intervals.
- Error Detection: Identify and report any financial irregularities and data entry errors.
- Clerical Support: Provide support to supervisory and executive staff by performing assigned accounting and clerical tasks.
This role also involves general administration tasks and other ad-hoc support.
About the Ideal CandidateTo be successful in this role, you should have:
- A Diploma/Degree in Accounting and/or Finance (or currently studying).
- At least 3 years of experience in the Accounting and Administration sector.
- Working knowledge of XERO.
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and use mathematical skills for accurate accounting data entry.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
