Accounting Support Role

This position involves providing assistance to accountants in various aspects of financial management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurate Data Entry: Enter data accurately into accounting software, spreadsheets, or books.
  • Record Keeping: Organise and maintain records in a way that is easy to access.
  • Financial Tracking: Track invoices, receipts, and other financial records.
  • Reconciliation: Assist with daily bank reconciliation and other account reconciliations at regular intervals.
  • Error Detection: Identify and report any financial irregularities and data entry errors.
  • Clerical Support: Provide support to supervisory and executive staff by performing assigned accounting and clerical tasks.

This role also involves general administration tasks and other ad-hoc support.

About the Ideal Candidate

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Diploma/Degree in Accounting and/or Finance (or currently studying).
  • At least 3 years of experience in the Accounting and Administration sector.
  • Working knowledge of XERO.
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and use mathematical skills for accurate accounting data entry.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills.
