We are currently seeking a highly motivated Accounts Clerk join our team, reporting directly to the Finance Manager. This integral position will see you working closely with the finance and administration team to support to the finance Manager in achieving long-term growth and success of the business. We are offering this position on a full-time basis in our Fullarton office. This position will offer the opportunity for professional development and growth in a supportive and diverse environment.

**Your exceptional work ethic combined with strong mathematical skills will support the business by**:

- Providing financial and administrative support to the finance team while ensuring deadlines are adhered to;
- Processing and paying supplier invoices, reconciling monthly supplier accounts, and liaising with subcontractors and suppliers;
- Preparation of billing and invoicing for customers;
- Review and acquittal of AP and AR invoices accurately;
- Receipting incoming funds for AR and following up on outstanding debt
- Payroll administration and processing;
- Undertaking bank account reconciliations, including reconciliation of credit card transactions;
- Providing backup support for other team members while they are on leave;
- Committing to the Hessel Group Work Health, Safety, and Environmental (WHS&E) Policies and Procedures, including Incident Reporting and Risk Management;
- Commitment to the Hessel Group Quality Management System, including identifying and reporting opportunities for improvement; and
- Ad-hoc accounting and administration duties as required

**In order to be successful for this role, you must possess the following**:

- Completion of Accounting or Commerce accredited tertiary course
- 1-3 years demonstrated experience in a hands-on accounts related position within a finance department
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook, particularly strong excel skills
- High level written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate and liaise effectively at all levels, both internally and externally
- Xero or similar system - strongly preferred.
- Previous experience in the social services industry is highly desirable
- Ability to be discreet whilst working with confidential information
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Adherence to timeliness and adaptability
- A can-do attitude and willingness to learn
- The ability to work autonomously as well as within a team
- NDIS Worker Check desirable (or willingness to obtain)
- Working with Children Check desirable (or willingness to obtain)
