
Cancer Support Coordinator Role

Seeking a dedicated and passionate Community Engagement Specialist to join our team. This role involves building strong relationships with community stakeholders, delivering information and support services, and working closely with volunteers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and engage key community stakeholders, building sustainable relationships and gathering insights.
- Deliver and evaluate programs and services, focusing on client-centric outcomes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify gaps in service provision and opportunities for improvement.
- Recruit, coach, and manage volunteers to support services and programs.
- Inspire volunteers through recognition and learning and development opportunities.
- Develop effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and integrate impact into fundraising initiatives.
- Capture and share stories of Cancer Council's impact in local communities.
About You:
- Tertiary qualifications in health, public health, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of relationship management, community engagement, and ability to translate this into an achievable way of working.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and develop strong relationships with health and community care professionals, government organizations, community groups, and volunteers.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills, including public speaking.
- Results-driven, purposeful, and accountable, with a positive attitude and enthusiasm for Cancer Council's vision and mission.
- High-level computer literacy in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
- Availability for travel and willingness to work with all communities across NSW.
