
Aboriginal Cancer Care Project Officer

A unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the field of Aboriginal cancer care has arisen. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as an Aboriginal Cancer Care Project Officer.
About the Role:
This role offers the chance to contribute to the design and delivery of a Model of Care toolkit that is culturally safe, practical, and responsive to community needs. You will play a key role in supporting the Cancer Care Coordinator in mapping pathways, strengthening collaboration between health providers and Aboriginal communities, and helping to identify strategies that reduce barriers to care.
This position requires a high level of cultural awareness, strong communication skills, and experience in project coordination, health program planning, or service development. You will work closely with internal teams, health providers, and Aboriginal communities to co-design solutions that address the unique needs of Aboriginal patients and families.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Cancer Care Coordinator in designing and implementing the Aboriginal Cancer Care Model of Care toolkit.
- Undertake project planning, coordination, and reporting to support service development.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, health providers, and Aboriginal communities to identify gaps and co-design solutions.
- Strengthen partnerships to improve integration of culturally safe cancer care services.
- Contribute to evaluation and continuous improvement of cancer care pathways for Aboriginal patients and families.
