Expert Accounting Support

The Assets Accounting team are seeking a Casual Assets Accountant to deliver high-quality asset and financial accounting services. In this role, you will ensure the integrity of asset balances, contribute to year-end processes, provide expert technical accounting advice, and play an important role in improvement initiatives across the finance function.

  • Contribute to asset and financial accounting functions, including supporting the University's month-end and year-end close-off procedures.
  • Prepare annual financial statements and maintain the integrity of the SAP Asset and Lease Registers.
  • Provide timely financial analysis, technical accounting advice, and compliance reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support financial projects and enhance systems and processes while fostering strong relationships across the finance network.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A degree in accounting or business.
  • CA / CPA accreditation.
  • Substantial relevant experience.
  • A strong working knowledge of SAP (or similar systems), particularly in asset management modules.
  • A solid understanding of relevant legislation and accounting standards.
