About Family and Civil Law Legal Practitioner Role

We are seeking an experienced Family and Civil Law Legal Practitioner with a strong interest in social justice to join our team.

Job Description:

This role involves working directly with clients, providing professional legal services, and advocating for their rights. You will be responsible for managing your own workflow, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines.

  • Family Law: Handling family law cases, including casework relating to child protection and domestic violence applications.
  • Civil Litigation: Engaging in civil litigation, including anti-discrimination matters, estates, and consumer protection type matters.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A high level of professional service and capacity across a wide range of Family and Civil Law proceedings.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop culturally competent service skills.
  • Ideal minimum of two years of full-time experience in a similar role.
  • Resilience in handling complex cases, including domestic violence and child protection work.
