Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Content Designer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing user-centred content for key websites, ensuring it meets user needs and is structured to reflect how users read online and mobile devices.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in providing accessibility advice to stakeholders and SMEs, as well as demonstrated ability to design user-centred website content that is expressed in plain language, accessible, inclusive, and searchable.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing content for key websites
  • Writing user stories, mapping journeys, pair writing, using analytics, conducting user research
  • Contributing to content management activities
  • Managing content activities and workflows effectively, adopting and supporting team tools and processes
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • Australian citizenship
  • Proven experience designing user-centred content for websites
  • Demonstrated experience in providing accessibility advice to stakeholders and SMEs
  • Demonstrated ability to design user-centred website content that is expressed in plain language, accessible, inclusive, and searchable
  • Experience in user research, particularly Google Analytics, to inform content decisions and tell success stories
  • Experience working in an Agile setting
  • Experience using the Australian Government Style Manual
