- 255974Our Federal Government Client, is seeking an experienced Content Developer for ongoing content development of the Your Career website and MySkills platforms. This is a long-term contract role with an initial duration of 12 months, and there is a possibility of extension for an additional 12 months. The position is available in the ACT, NSW, QLD, SA, and VIC.

As a Content Developer, your responsibilities will include:

- Contributing to the implementation and management of content on National Careers Institute websites.
- Optimizing web content for readability according to the Digital Transformation Agency's style manual.
- Supporting the development of tailored website content, including the creation and maintenance of online tools and resources.
- Developing accessible content in line with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1).
- Understanding Search Engine Optimization (SEO) principles and optimizing user experience for different stakeholder segments.
- Researching, analyzing, and evaluating the effectiveness and performance of web content, including life cycle establishment and periodic reviews.
- Managing website publishing requests and liaising with relevant stakeholders and SMEs.
- Developing and supporting website governance and strategic material.

To be successful in this role, you should have the following essential criteria:

- Experience in optimizing web content for readability to a high standard in line with the Digital Transformation Agency's style manual.
- Experience in supporting the development of tailored website content, including the creation and maintenance of online tools and resources.
- Experience in managing website publishing requests and liaising with stakeholders and SMEs.
- Experience in researching, analyzing, and evaluating the effectiveness and performance of web content, including life cycle establishment and periodic reviews.
- Technical knowledge of using and reporting on Google Analytics.
- Experience in developing accessible content in line with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1).
- 2+ years of experience in web content development.
- Understanding of SEO principles and optimizing user experience for different stakeholder segments.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders.
- Ability to develop and support website governance and strategic material.
- Proven ability to work within an agile team environment.
- Experience and ability to transfer knowledge to team members.

It is desirable if you have the following:

- Knowledge of HTML.
- Experience using GovCMS or other content management systems for web publishing.
