About the Team
GLG is on the lookout for a Manager to co-direct our Private Equity Client Solutions team in Australia, focusing on surpassing our commercial, developmental, compliance, and personnel objectives. This role involves overseeing research inquiries from our client firms in Australia and New Zealand. Additionally, the Manager will collaborate with sales to enhance our regional presence and partner with leadership to devise and execute business performance enhancement strategies.
Position Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute a comprehensive business strategy in close cooperation with our Leadership team, Sales team, and other GLG stakeholders to meet Commercial Targets. Monitor team performance and devise plans to stimulate growth and revenue in both the short and long term. Assume responsibility for a portfolio of clients.
- Uphold exemplary client service standards through dedicated coaching and support for direct reports in their professional development journeys, actively managing team performance and personnel growth.
- Facilitate high-value interactions between GLG experts (including industry leaders, independent consultants, academics, and former policymakers across various sectors) and our clients while adhering to industry-leading Compliance standards. Engagements primarily consist of one-on-one telephone consultations but may also include surveys, in-person meetings, panels, or other tailored, in-depth interactions.
- Assist the Sales team in cultivating GLG client relationships in ANZ, including both new clients and senior stakeholders. This relationship-building will stem from proactive outreach, project execution, post-project client feedback, and occasionally in-person client meetings in collaboration with Sales.
- Collaborate closely with the GLG Councils Team by fostering relationships with GLG's most esteemed thought leaders and business professionals.
- Organize live in-country meetings or teleconferences on pertinent subject matters and noteworthy events for our clients in partnership with Sales.
Position Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience, preferably in consulting, banking, information services, market research, or other professional services or startup environments.
- A strong proactive attitude and a proven record of business growth or turnaround.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team of client service professionals.
- A successful history of operating in a fast-paced, client service environment.
- A passion for problem-solving.
- Exceptional communication skills and a willingness to engage with senior professionals.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- An understanding of the business landscape, with an interest in working across various industries, including industrials, consumer goods, and healthcare.
- This is a Full-Time role.
