Job Title: Youth Support Specialist

About This Opportunity:
  • Nurturing Environment: Foster a secure, supportive home for at-risk youth.
  • Empowering Independence: Assist with daily living skills, such as personal care and hygiene.
  • Transportation and Activities: Ensure young people attend school, appointments, and community activities.
  • Promoting Growth: Encourage skill development and socialization within the local community.
  • Health Needs Management: Administer medications and maintain accurate reporting.
  • Trauma-Informed Care: Support youth with complex behaviors using trauma-informed approaches.

To be successful in this role, you will need to hold (or be studying towards) a Certificate IV in Youth Work, Child, Youth and Family Intervention, Social Work, Disability Support Work or similar. You must also have an Australian Drivers License (P2 or higher), a Working with Children Check (Blue Card), and 3 months paid experience as a Residential Youth Worker.
