Youth Support Worker Opportunity

A Youth Support Worker opportunity is available to work with children and young people who are living in out-of-home care. As a residential youth support worker, you will be making a real difference in their lives.
About the RoleThis is a casual position working with some of Australia's best youth service providers. You will be empowering children and young people to live their best lives in a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Create a Safe and Supportive Home: Foster a secure, nurturing environment for at-risk youth.
- Empower Daily Living: Assist with personal care, meals, and hygiene to promote independence.
- Facilitate Transportation: Ensure young people attend school, appointments, and community activities.
- Promote Growth: Encourage skill development and socialization within the local community.
- Manage Health Needs: Administer medications and maintain accurate reporting.
- Deliver Trauma-Informed Care: Support youth with complex behaviors using trauma-informed approaches.
- Certificate IV in Youth Work or similar qualification.
- Australian Drivers License (P2 or higher).
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
- 3 months paid experience as a Residential Youth Worker.
- The ability to work a mixture of day, night, and weekend shifts as required.
