Youth Development Specialist

The role of Youth Counsellor involves providing therapeutic interventions to young people aged 12 to 25 years and their parents and carers.
This position requires a clinician with experience delivering mental health interventions to young people and their families and friends.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other clinicians within the program to plan and develop services for young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health concerns.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering evidence-based psychological interventions
- Participating in clinical reviews and quality assurance processes
- Attending business and professional development meetings
- Contributing to the development and maintenance of community partnerships
Required Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- General or Provisional AHPRA registration as a Psychologist, Mental Health Occupational Therapist, Mental Health Nurse OR Social Worker with AASW registration/eligibility OR Counsellor with Level 3 ACA registration or PACFA registration as a Clinical Member
- A highly competent level of knowledge and skill to undertake routine clinical practice
- Comprehensive profession-specific knowledge, expertise and skill; with specific experience in the provision of evidence-based psychological therapies
- Excellent communication skills to participate in a multidisciplinary team
